Hectic week. From catching up with school work to doing some exec stuff for campus clubs, I barely had time to read my monthly magazines, let alone sit down to get a blogging entry done. To make it up to you, I give you my first ever personal blog entry (probably my last).
Fashion, can't deny the fact that it influences us all; whether it be through external force or even as a subliminal entity. We can't help but look at ourselves in the mirror, and look for the second time (and in my case a third time) to ask the final question, "Do these (insert apparel item(s) here) go with my jeans?" I will admit, my fashion views were not high-up in my list of 'musts' until of recent, but there is one person that changed that for me. It is nobody I know on a personal level, but he is a model that has changed my views in the social-aspect of clothing and co-ordination. Charles - my utmost favourite model. Don't let the name fool you, he is Korean as kimchi.
Started as an independant model for his own clothing line (jBro) and went on to become the 'modern' VJ on a Korean music channel. He was a street VJ, interviewing people with his, sometimes hard to understand, method of interviews and soon he had his very own following (but much more of anti-fans). Now as a participant on a Model Reality Business Simulation TV-show, "I am a Model: Men", he has recently been upped to stardom status within the entertainment and modeling industry of Korea.
He is not a man with an aesthetically pleasing facial features. In fact, he isn't handsome at all, below average even. But modelling isn't always about the above-neck, but mainly below-neck. Charles, a unique model all on his own (from his slouching body posture to his obscure facial hair and expressions), has a body of a god(esse). Slim, but not too skinny. Built, but not too 'buff'. Tall, but not freakishly so. Tanned (naturally), but never overdone. In other words, what you see on his body and his silhouette in his pictures is, in the purest form, the male model. The tattoo that goes from his neck down his right arm is also one of the punk-iest(?) accessory I have seen on a model.
What I like about Charles is that he can pull off almost anything. His physique is so well formed that you can put on 4 layers of clothes and he will still look like he is wearing one attire and never look over-clothed. He has a 'modern-face' (not your typical pretty-boy) which allows him to pull off vintage, rugged, and nippon designs when needed. Along with his street-looks (which he prefers to wear constantly) he has the sculpture that allows him to pull off chic and luxe as required by the camera. Well rounded model, a bad-ass attitude; Charles is the man who has influenced and finalized my views towards fashion.

I love and adore this man, I really do. Not that I know him, but his body is perfection, and his face stands out in this unforgettable way. One look and you won't be able to stop yourself from recognizing him on the street.
I love his body, great proportions *purr* XDD And I stole pictures, because you know how I feel about tall, lean men (his goatee thing is also a bonus, rarrr)
Haha. Glad to see that you are taking a liking to him too.
Swear to god, this man is my favourite asian model in existance :D Just in case you couldn't get that message from my post <.<
